COMMUNICATIONS ASSISTANT – Term position Winnipeg
As Communications assistant you will prepare communications materials using your education and training in journalism, creative writing, business and marketing and public relations. Working with our Marketing department the Communications Assistant will be assigned to tasks that will provide a benefit to Payworks in exercising their keen, current, and enthusiastic skills plus Payworks will provide them with valuable work experience as they consider the next steps in building careers in their chosen field.
Your key responsibilities will be:
Preparation of newsletters & bulletins, from sourcing materials to the delivery of the
Participate in social media communications.
Write and/or edit both internal and external communications.
Contribute to community giving initiatives and participate in the development of
communication requirements of local Payworks’ supported events or organizations.
You will have the following list of qualifications:
Enrollment and at minimum partial completion of courses and/or diploma in the area
of Creative Communications.
Demonstrated experience in the area of writing and editing clearly and concisely, and
in a manner that is easily understood by the general public.
Working knowledge and ability in a variety of relevant hardware/software
applications, including Microsoft office suite, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop.
