Opportunity: Manager, Communications,Wellington West Capital Inc.

Wellington West has become one of the largest and fastest-growing independent investment firms in Canada. We are seeking an energetic individual to join our fast-paced, results-driven marketing team. Reporting to the Director, Marketing & Communications, the Manager, Communications will be charged with overseeing Wellington West’s communication strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the day-to-day activities of managing, enhancing and implementing the strategy of the Wellington Group and to improve overall communications to all Wellington stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities

Oversee all corporate communications including press releases, corporate collateral, website content development, client communications, etc.

Oversee content development of corporate collateral (writing, editing and collaborating with vendors, as appropriate), including brochures, annual reports, and the Inspired Thinking Magazine.

Create brand messaging and oversee consistency across all communication vehicles.

Provide communications support to the leadership team and other key stakeholders.

Develop policies, procedures, and support to streamline all internal communications.

Support communications requirements of the organization at all levels.

Department management, including tracking of budget and potential personnel management.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

Post-Secondary education required (Communications degree preferred, B. Comm is an asset).

Experience

A minimum of 5 years of communications experience required.

Financial Industry experience preferred.

Meticulous attention to detail; high level of initiative and results-orientation.

Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle shifting priorities and simultaneous projects.
